It's OK not to be OK.

It's OK not to be OK.

I've been beating myself up a bit recently - don't we all sometimes?

I've not been feeling at my best, and facing a few professional and personal challenges, and as a result Card of the Day has been MIA for a week or so!

Like many people, I set high standard for myself and I struggle with my mistakes - I guess I'm what you'd call a perfectionist. That's part of my karma for this lifetime.

I was feeling particularly crappy this morning, idly flicking through Instagram looking at pictures of cats (as you do), and I felt one of my angels step forward. Her energy was so gentle and I immediately felt at peace.

I stopped scrolling and remembered that sometimes it's ok not to be ok. There's a time for that.

I wanted to share this little nugget of wisdom with you today, because it's something that many people struggle with - society, school, work even family all seem to tell us that we have to be at our best all the time, that second best is just not good enough.

We put ourselves under huge amounts of pressure, and then beat ourselves up when we don't manage to be perfect all the time.

So I want to remond you of this:

It is absolutely, one hundred percent ok, not to be ok.

It's fine to be down sometimes.

It doesn't matter who you are or how many people look up to you, how well respected you are or how invincible you feel you should be.

You are a divine soul, yes. But you're here having a HUMAN experience. And that experience includes the whole range of emotions from good to bad to indifferent.

Life is meant to be lived, not looked down upon as something that lesser people experience.

Life exists for its own sake, and this lifetime is just as important and valuable to your soul no matter what happens.

Without challenges and difficulties, our souls cannot learn what it is to feel all things and experience the giddy heights and plunging depths of the human experience.

Knowing in theory is never the same as experiencing it, which is why our soul chooses to experience everything!

All is sacred, even feeling down. So no matter who you are, I want you to know that it's ok to not be on top of your game every once in a while.

You matter, your experiences matter, and you are loved.
